Traits: Sims are auto-assigned one of three traits: "Believes in the Occult," "Does Not Believe in the Occult," or "Has Witnessed the Occult." Occult Sims automatically know their supernatural nature, but other Sims can be convinced through interaction.
Interactions: Sims can "Convince to Believe" or "Convince to Stop Believing," and they can ask about a Sim’s occult status or beliefs. Occult Sims can reveal their true nature through actions like showing their tail (mermaids) or using magic (spellcasters).
New Features:
- Occult Enthusiast trait: Sims who enjoy occult interactions and never develop a fear of them.
- Fear of the Occult: Sims may develop this fear after negative encounters with occult Sims but can overcome it by discussing fears with friendly occult beings.
- Buffs: Sims get buffs based on their preferences for specific occults.
- Aspirations: New aspirations like "Occult Enthusiast" (for learning magical skills quickly) and "Occult Discovery" (for gaining fame and rewards by proving the existence of occults).
- Occult Knowledge Compendium: A new book that gives focused buffs when read.
Overrides: Some interactions, like "Ask If Mermaid," are replaced for better immersion, but you can opt out if you prefer the original interactions.
To fully enjoy the mod, it’s recommended to have the relevant expansion packs for occults (Vampires, Werewolves, etc.), but it will still work with just one.
