How To Install Houses / Rooms / Sims Files Downloaded Outside Of The Gallery

To install tray files for The Sims 4, which typically include Sims, households, rooms, and lots, you'll need to follow these steps:

1. UNZIP

After downloading, unzip the folder (unless you're using a computer that unzips it automatically, then you can skip this step)

2. SELECT FILES

Select all the files inside the unzipped folder. 

3. PLACE IN TRAY FOLDER

Locate your Tray folder  (usually located in Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Tray) and place all the files you selected inside it.  There cannot be folders inside the Tray folder so make sure you only placed the files and not the unzipped folder itself.

4. DELETE CACHE

Delete the localthumbcache file to make sure the changes you made are applied.

That's it! You've successfully installed tray files for The Sims 4, and you can now enjoy using them in your game.
