Today's update includes several improvements:

Recipe UI: The Recipe UI has been updated, allowing players to filter recipes by categories such as "All, vegetarian, lactose-free, meat, seafood, and sweets."

Cupcakes: Cupcakes are now available in the game. Sims can make cupcakes using an oven, in addition to the Whipped Dream Cupcake Factory. Toddlers can also enjoy eating cupcakes.

Cooking and Ingredients: The quality of food now reflects the Sim's skill level, mood, and appliance quality. Recipes in the Cooking, Gourmet Cooking, and Baking skills have been updated to use more expected ingredients. For example, players with both Cottage Living and Get To Work expansions can use ingredients like sugar, flour, and eggs from the former with baking recipes from the latter.

Cool Kitchen Stuff Pack: Child Sims can now use the Sweet Tooth Ice Cream Machine from this pack.

Small Appliances: Many small appliances can now be moved around in Live Mode and placed into your Sim's inventory for travel. A list of compatible appliances is provided, including the Wavescatter, Food Annihilator, Omniwaver, Schmapple Micro, Luxe Drink Tray, Sugar Kane Popcorn Popper, Summer Drink Tray, Sweet Tooth Ice Cream Machine, Fountain of Mirth, Gravy Fountain Mark IV Stand, Vintage Glamour Beverage Fountain, and Blazin' Ladles' Over The Counter Oven.

BUG FIXES

Garden Plant Stability: Garden plants will now stay as plants and won't randomly turn into piles of dirt.

Create a Sim Trait Visuals: The visual effects for Sim Traits in Create a Sim have been fixed and are now back.

Newborn Text: Some text has been updated to provide better descriptions or enthusiasm about Newborns.

Trash Fruit Growth: Trash Fruit will now properly grow from any pile of trash outside, regardless of its source.

Social Interaction: Sims will once again receive calls and invitations from other Sims and NPCs, reducing the isolation in the game.

CITY LIVING

Vegetarian Sims: Vegetarian Sims will no longer mistakenly eat meals that contain meat when using the "Get Leftovers" interaction. This ensures that their dietary preferences are respected.

Recipe Adjustments: Various recipes have been reviewed and updated to correctly identify whether they are vegetarian-safe or not. Some recipes that were incorrectly labeled as vegetarian-safe have been corrected, while others that should have been labeled as such are now properly identified. This ensures that Sims can make informed choices about their meals.

SEASONS

Bee Behavior: Bees will no longer become "Enraged" or "Irritated" after applying Mite Treatment. This change makes the bees more docile and appreciative of their caretaker Sim, improving the overall beekeeping experience in the game.

ECO LIFESTYLE

Photographs taken after today's patch will no longer experience issues where they turn black when stored in the Storage Box. This fix ensures that your in-game photographs remain visible and intact, preserving your memories and experiences in the game.

COTTAGE LIVING

Vegetable Recognition: Certain vegetables were not being recognized as vegetables when used as recipe ingredients. This issue has been fixed, allowing Sims to use a wider variety of vegetables in their dishes.

Lactose-Free Experience: The update has included significant changes to food in the game, providing a more accurate Lactose-Free experience. This allows Sims with lactose intolerance to make informed choices about whether to consume dairy products and experience the consequences accordingly.

HIGH SCHOOL YEARS

In this update, there will be fewer invitations for your Sims to become best friends forever (BFF) with other Sims. This adjustment sets boundaries to reduce the frequency of such invitations in the game.

GROWING TOGETHER

Photographs taken after today's patch will no longer experience issues where they turn black when stored in the Basic Keepsake Box and the Truly Ornate Keepsake Box. This fix ensures that your in-game photographs remain visible and preserved when stored in these keepsake boxes, allowing you to cherish your memories without any issues.

HORSE RANCH

Ranch Hands: Ranch Hands will now stay hired until you actively dismiss them. This change ensures that you don't have to repeatedly hire them, making it more convenient to manage your ranch.

Riders on Foot: Sims who were previously using Horse Barrels or Horse Jumps and then transition to doing activities on foot will no longer sometimes linger on horseback. This update improves the realism of Sims' actions and movements in the game.

MOVIE HANGOUT

When using the Sugar Kane Popcorn Popper, Sims will now be able to see what Cooking skill level they need to reach in order to prepare the various popcorn recipes. This enhancement provides players with more transparency and guidance on skill requirements for using the popcorn popper effectively.
